An uneven set of footsteps echoed through the scorched paradise. Flakes of ash danced all around her like snow, but the setting was quite the opposite of the latter.

The scent of fire was embedded into her nostrils; what she had called home resembled the underworld that she once feared. It was like each step was bringing her one step closer to her worse fear, or a monster that would get Amatullah a run for her money.

It was under Fell’s direction that Amatullah would search for any wolves that were in dire need for shelter. Pack lands were scorched to crisps, and with the speed of each tree’s ignition, wolves of all packs scattered to shelter. If there was anyone needed aid or a new pack, they were certain to lend them service in exchange for loyalty.

Why she sent the only wolf with a limp was a mystery.

As Roan mentioned her victory, she smiled and closed her eyes. The female was a gentle soul - why she behaved such a way was beyond her, but she felt closer to Roan because of it. The female hesitated on a moment to think, but realized that she needed him.
“Okay..”

As she hung from his back like a torn-open carcass, Amatullah rested her cranium against his nape. She felt completely at ease with his soft touch. But when she opened her eyes, she saw a cave, and hoped that surely it was empty. “I don’t want to run into trouble if that’s occupied,”

As Roan removed the wolf from her back, Amatullah gently sprawled out in comfort from the safety of the cave. The damp air was nice; crisp and fresh, it felt. She looked to Roan before fixing her position and cocked her head curiously.
“You never really had time to relax in your old pack, haven’t you?” Amatullah inquired while patting the spot next to her with a smile, “You owe me for defending your rump with those rogues.”

“I. Saved. You.” Amatullah stated with a playful grin, nipping his ear ever so lightly. Her eyes shared the same spark as his, and there was a burning fire in her spirit. Something about this journey with Roan made her forget about her past momentarily, and being able to spare the heartache uplifted her spirit high.

Out of nowhere, Amatullah was in a spur of feelings: the lass leaned over and placed a lick on his cheek. Once she realized what she had done, Amatullah blushed and walked further into the cave embarrassed with herself.

“I’m sorry,” Amatullah said, hearing his footsteps follow her.  The female refused to let herself look at him. Roan seemed to allow Amatullah to find a different part of herself she hid away for a long time.

Amatullah released a whine of surprise when the brute pounced her from behind, and in response the lass nipped at his fur pulling lightly.
“What do you think you’re doing?” The canine inquired while pawing at him in a batting manner.

“No,” Amatullah stated promptly while gazing upon his features. Roan was indeed an attractive brute despite his pessimistic attitude, and Amatullah enjoyed his company, however the female didn’t realize their acquaintanceship would come to this point. Not so soon, at least. The female’s senses were flashing warning signals, but the canine was still high on adrenaline from her battle to heed them. With the female’s instincts buzzed, a slight curiousity and eagerness arose. The female didn’t understand what she was in for, but hormones and season change the chaos of her actions feel right.

The female was growing impatient, her mind ever so curious on what the brute intended to do to the young she-wolf. The female never assumed Roan would take an interest in her this way, so Amatullah never imagined reaching this point; therefore she never prepared herself for this side of maturity she had recently reached.

Amatullah was aware of the topic through the various females of her birth pack, and eager developing males who would gossip about the subject. But compressing her emotions and shying away from males for so long made her not care to learn, or pay attention to her development. But with the seasons change, she knew her purity would be short-lived; Amatullah didn’t think it’d happen this way, though.

“Yes, Roan,” Amatullah replied, trembles of excitement and possibly nervousness coursing through her frame. She began to suspect if this is what he probably wanted all along now that she took the thought, but Amatullah was in too deep to refuse.

Roan scared her, yet was a mesmerizing individual in her opinion. A part of her felt she owed him for not killing her the first chance he had. She was grateful for his aid in the battle and the hill, and for leading her to clear air. If she were to deny his advances, well, she had witnessed her step-father’s rage when her mother didn't allow courtship.

“Just get to it,” Amatullah said in a hushed whisper after he had kissed her, pulling him close almost for support. She needed to stop thinking; her buzz was slowly draining, and she needed something to occupy her before she scared herself out of this.

“Please Roan,” She said wearing a hint of a smile, trying to mask the nervousness she held inside. She wanted this. That’s what she told herself; she wanted this.
