Fell nodded. "As you wish." She knew Oddey would share. He was so kindhearted for a Male. The Arch wagged her tail at the mention of a hunt. "That sounds fantastic!" She looked to Oddey. "Everyone will need to eat soon, I'm sure." The lady glanced between the two, then something drew her gaze upward.

"Clouds?" She sniffed the air. "Seems we may get some rain after all." She said through the growing threat in her mind. Dark storm clouds inched their way towards the forest, still a reasonable ways off.

Oddeys gaze flicked between the two as the spoke, fixating on Amatullah at the mention of the hare.
"Well, if my permission is needed, you have it. The kill is yours, freshly caught!" He replied with a bright voice, excited and pleased that he was able to provide for his new family. He extended a fore limb and nudged the lifeless carcass closer to the quiet Seeker, presenting his prey with pride.
"And I could do with another hunt. I have to say, I've never hunted with a... 'trap', but I'm game." Oddey added, relaxing onto his backside as his gaze shifted to a thrilled Fell. He too was eager to partake in a group activity, but was nervous that his skills were more impressive when on his own. Pushing the unease to the back of his mind, he followed the Arch's gaze towards the darkening sky, ears twitching as the breeze carried the damp air towards the trio.
It seemed that Fell was particularly on edge, and the fact caught the sympathetic males attention much quicker then he enjoyed. Something was on her mind, but Oddey wasn't sure if it was his place to confront his superior on the matter.
"Well, how exactly does this pitfall trap work?" He asked, directing his question to Amatullah.

Amatullah grinned at the vocals of Oddey, allowing her to keep the treat for herself: “Thank you, Oddey,”
The female was gentle about placing the rabbit on the elephant-ear, gently moving her herbs that Amatullah had recently collected. The elephant-ear acted as a bowl, and the stem was long enough to be able to be dragged some ways. The female figured the more she collected now, the better. It would be rough if one of her companions happened to get injured during the trip with no medical attention. Her mind began to worry, but Amatullah pushed the doubt in her mind as the female needed to focus on the current task at hand.

Her companions had agreed with the canine regarding the rest of the pack and the need to collect energy before the trip, and Fell was eager to start right away. Oddey was interested in how Amatullah’s methods would work - this was surely his first time using a trap to hunt than the tradition style most wolves do. Unfortunately, Amatullah couldn’t run like that anymore and had to improvise if she wanted to survive the world around her.

“Rain? That’ll help a lot,” Amatullah murmured while also looking to the storm rolling in, peeking over the tree line. “Basically it’s a giant hole that you guys will need to lead the prey into. When it fall inside of the trap, one of its legs - possibly more - are bound to become injured or even broken. Causing their ability to run to decrease dramatically if they happen to escape.” Amatullah explained while exchanging glances with the duo before her: “Or, we make a series of holes to slow the deer down. Every time it’s caught off guard, trips, falls, whatever - we have a huge lead. Not only will these traps save time, but it will save energy,”

“The choice is yours on how we go about this,” The canine explained while focusing her opticals onto the Arch. This was her pack and her time on the line, so Amatullah hoped she would calls. It was strange to have a group aiding her while hunting, but the odd feeling was welcomed.

“The storm before us is a blessing; digging is a lot quicker when the ground is moist,” Amatullah felt a glimmer of change in air, and the wind moving slightly quicker around them. The canine had a strange fascination with storms; it reminded the lady of her father’s booming energy, and his strength in battle before his passing. In some way, Amatullah believed that her father was reincarnated into a storm, or controlled the weather from the heavens above. The canine knew this was an absurd thought and vowed to never voiced it to prevent sounding crazy, but it was a storm that saved her from her attackers moons ago. And it was a storm that had aided her in more ways than not, and this moment before her.

“It’s getting dark, I’d say putting the trap in the denser area would serve us best. Less visibility there, especially with those clouds rollin’ in,” Amatullah pointed with a damp nose in the direction of where to place their handmade grove. The flora was thick with herbs and grasses, and the blanches of the trees hung low and were thick with leaves above. The trees in the area blocked out the sky light, but seeing as it was about to rain, the area had an eerie blackness surrounding it.

Fell listened quietly as she watched the approaching storm clouds. When she heard Amatullah mention going deeper into the forest to set her clever traps, the female met her gaze. "That sound like a good idea...." she glanced up again. "There may be a wiser choice to find shelter from this storm." She countered. "But if everyone is hungry, perhaps we should split into pairs." Then she had a thought. We should go find the others. "Artemis will want to be in this, I'm sure." She rose from her spot and flicked her tail to head back the way they had come. "Let's fill in the others before we split into teams. We can make more traps to increase our chances." She explained, beginning to walk away.

Above, thunder sounded from a distance.

To much of her dismay, the only canine that was ready to carry on her plan was Fell. Oddey lacked a voice on the subject; this made Amatullah regret speaking out and explain her techniques for the hunt. The empty vacancy of words that shrouded them product the lass doubt herself-made her feel less of a wolf. Fell spoke, but words fell upon silent aids that lay flat in submission against her cranium.

“While you two do that, I’m gonna go set the traps. We need to get moving. Fast.”

The canine hoped Fell wouldn’t mind for Amatullah to have a moment of privacy; the lady didn’t have the energy to explain her plan and feel ‘little’ compared to the healthy canines in the group. Amatullah glances from the ground to Fell’s orbs and placed a tiny, broken smile before turning her back and entered the darkness that would be home to her strategy.

The earth below her paws were beginning to grow soft from rainfall; webbed paws creating a scoop that would send dirt flying underneath her. The lady made these pot-holes slightly deeper, but not enough for a pitfall trap. She would finish one hole and move onto the next, judging distance and using assumption from the doe’s leap. This would trip the doe with each hurdle, staggering it and giving the pack a high advantage to pull it down.

The thought of hunting prey with the use of traps was foreign to him, for he was used to the normal tactics of the chase. He lightly rolled his scapulars in anticipation, preparing himself for the second hunt of the day. His lengthy limbs were growing stiff after the sudden exertion with the hare, but a quick trot would ease them back into their natural state.
Lost in his own thoughts and curiosity of the new method of hunting, Oddey hadn't expressed his excitement or willingness to participate in the event, which, to his concern, affected Amatullah negatively. He watched as the canine left without much of a word, saddened by the fact that his lack of expression created a burdening tension in the air.
Releasing a strained breath, he gave his thick grey coat a shake, a weak attempt to remove the unnerved feeling from himself. Casting his gaze towards Fell, he cleared his throat before speaking.
"So, what's the plan now?" He voiced, shifting his weight from limb to limb. "Head back to the clearing?"

Fell watched Amatullah leave to set her traps on her end before looking to Oddey. "You and I can take the sides closest to the edge of the forest." But then she realized something. Amatullah hadn't show her or Oddey how to dig the traps. "I guess we will wait for Amatullah to return before we begin." She ran her tongue over her maw in thought and anticipation of the hunt. Then she raise her head to howl a message to Amatuallah instead. How do we set the traps?

Above, dark, stormy clouds were still gathering, shadow spreading over the land. A light breeze picks up. Thunder boomed, closer than before.

Oddey's pale ears stood tall as Fell, his new found Arch, released a questioning howl to the departed Amatullah. He was wondering the same thing, still unsure how this whole trap situation would work, but optimistic about the results. He knew little of the injured wolf, but he sensed a deep and respectable wisdom from her, allowing himself to trust her judgement.
Rocking back onto his rump, he exhaled roughly as the impending storm dampened the air, dark brooding cloud swirling above the pair. "Do you think she heard you?" Oddey voiced after a brief moment of silence, fixating his gaze on the ebony wolf.

Fell wasn't sure if Amatullah heard her over the rising winds. "I'm not sure." She replied, but we need to get moving." She turned away from him. "Let's try to find the others." She suggested, and began to head back the way she had come with Amatullah.

In a deep concentration as Amatullah began her task, a howl alarmed her beckoning for instructions on how to proceed. Amatullah lifted her gape and howled back: "The work is already done; just find a specimen and lure him this way to trip it,"
The female had thought she already explained her doings, but perhaps the lass was incorrect. The clouds overhead created a dreary sky but Amatullah did not fear the storm.

Fell perked her ears at the response from Amatullah as she picked her was back to Joachim and the others. She paused once she saw what the sky looked like. The feeling in her gut had begun to grow more alarming by the minute. She glanced at Oddey, uncertain of whether they should hunt or not.
